Jonathan Weng is a Canadian Grade 12 student, certified as an NREMT Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)  in the U.S. (NREMT Registry No.: E4082697) and Provincially Licensed Emergency  Medical Responder (EMR License ID: 156731) in British Columbia, and a dedicated global health advocate. He has completed extensive medical and dental internships, shadowing, and volunteer work in Africa, Peru, and Canada. Jonathan has authored four research papers focused on global health, covering  dentistry, infectious diseases, telemedicine, and climate-related health challenges. This includes  “The Role of Stem Cell Therapy and Botox in Treating TMJ Disorders: Functional and Aesthetic Implications,” a peer-reviewed article published in the well-known and Google Scholar-indexed journal International Journal of Dentistry Research. 


He has published three books, including a collaborative work co-authored with his associate Matthew Yu, GLOBAL HEALTH PERSPECTIVES: Interviews with Leading Healthcare Professionals, with proceeds supporting Doctors Without Borders.


As founder and president of YAGHA, Jonathan mobilizes youth worldwide to engage in healthcare advocacy. His leadership also spans North Vancouver Model United Nations and STA STEM & MUN clubs. With research, humanitarian service, and international engagement.


Through research, humanitarian service, and international engagement, Jonathan intends to make a positive impact.
